Aloha,

Last time we told you about Hawaii’s Woodshow™. Well, it’s no good promoting local wood unless professional craftspeople can get their hands on it. That’s why we recently helped our sister organization, the Hawaiʻi Forest Industry Association (HFIA) to launch the Kamaʻāina Wood Market. The idea is to make Koa and other local wood available in relatively small quantities at stable and predictable prices.

To prevent large out-of-state companies from cornering the supply, we’re limiting sales to two bundles per person or organization and buyers must be local residents who are members of HFIA. Please help us spread the word and if you need Koa (and soon other types of wood, too), take a look at what’s on offer.

‘Til next time. Yours truly,

Paul Arinaga
