Myoporum sandwicense

Origin: Endemic
Conservation Status: At Risk
A small to medium size tree found from sea level to 7,000+ feet. Flowers have an odor reminiscent of sandalwood, and fruits are eaten by nēnē and other fruit eating birds. The dense wood was traditionally used for ‘ō‘ō (spears, digging sticks) and small tools.
